The A3 glow plug features a platinum wire coil encased in a ceramic sheath, designed to produce intense heat when subjected to an electric current. Before starting the engine, an external power source heats the glow plug, causing it to emit a red-orange glow. This heated element ignites the fuel-air mixture upon compression, initiating the combustion process that drives the engine’s power generation.
