Yaskawa HC10 Machine Tending with Locus Vector AMR

Matt Hale – TECH 7992

This project required the integration of a Yaskawa HC10, two Cognex cameras (7000 & 8000 series), a Haas Tm-1, a Locus Robotics Vector AMR, and an Allen Bradley L23 PLC with a Factorytalk view HMI. The goal of the project was to create a lights-out machining process that would make all the components for my undergraduate project (a wrench). This process also needed to integrate Lean philosophies such as Jidoka, a kanban system, and visual controls where needed.
