NX Master Model Concept

The Master Model concept is a fundamental approach in product design and development, often utilized in computer-aided design (CAD) systems like Siemens NX. It involves creating a single, central model that serves as the authoritative source for all related components and assemblies within a product.

In the Master Model concept, the primary design and all associated parts are interconnected and derived from a single model, referred to as the “master model.” This master model contains the core geometry, features, and parametric relationships that define the product’s design intent. By establishing this central reference, changes made to the master model can propagate automatically to all derived components and assemblies, ensuring consistency and reducing errors and rework.
