Fret Wire Bender (TECH 2908 F25)

Assumptions:

  • Will be used by a competent adult
  • Can adapt to all commercially available fret wires
  • One groove profile will work with all wires
  • Used indoors, not subject to moisture
  • Will be held in a bench vise

Constraints:

  • Robust, Commercial quality
  • Bearings are skate wheel variety

  • Using 2 x 1 aluminum bar is optimal
  • Mounts in a bench vise

Below is an alternate arrangement not discussed in class. This version uses two .5 inch drill rods as slides.
