Project | Dynics OT network solution for Automation and Robotics Lab |
Sponsor | Dynics (hardware/software donation) |
Advisors | Dr. Berisso, Prof Kohn |
Fields of study | Networking, Automation |
Description | Dynics (www.dynics.com) has donated their entire hardware/software suite SW ICS360.FusionICS360.IAM – Identity Access ManagerICS360.DCC – Dynics Cybersecurity SoftwareVeracity – OT SDN Network Controller HW ICS360.Defender – Nano – DIN Mount OT FirewallICS360.Connect – DIN mount SDN Switch/switches. The plan is that the Department will try and install at least some of this solution in the Automation and Robotics lab – however, it needs to be determined how it will work with the current infrastructure. |
Primary Objectives | Install solution in ET226/236 and in ET207Be able to demonstrate that the solution is able to work with the University networks, the robots, and the PLCs in the labs.Develop a set of recommendations back to Dynics on what can be improved in terms of usability (from a student perspective)Fully document how the system was installed and how to manage it so that Dr. Berisso and Prof Kohn can take ownership when the school year is over |
Key Components/ requirements | Demonstrate ability to use and program various Dynics HW/SW componentsBe able to implement Dynics solution in ET226/236 and ET207Professionally document efforts and results of all testing |
Deliverables | Functioning security solutionResults of various standard white-hat penetration effortsDocumentation and solution specific instructions for long-term maintenanceRecommendation document for Dynics |
