The NX View Break feature is a tool used to enhance the clarity of complex drawings by allowing you to “break” a portion of a view to eliminate unnecessary details. It is particularly useful when displaying long components or assemblies that do not require full-length representation. By breaking the view, you can focus on critical areas without altering the actual geometry, ensuring that key dimensions and features are still visible while reducing the size of the view on the drawing.
From the drafting application: Menu -> Insert -> View -> View Break
In the NX View Break command, the anchor point is a reference location that helps control how the view behaves when the break is applied. The anchor point defines which part of the view will remain stationary and which part will be repositioned when the view break is introduced. Essentially, it acts as a fixed point, ensuring that certain critical elements of the drawing do not shift or move during the process of applying the break.
Each break line has its own anchor point. The offset for break line is the distance from its own anchor point.
