Fusion 360 Labs

This set of lab exercises, developed by graduate student Lucas Rivers, focuses exclusively on CAM programming and CNC machining using Fusion 360 and the Penta 5-Axis CNC machine. The labs guide students through the process of creating toolpaths, setting up machining operations, and simulating complex multi-axis movements within Fusion 360’s manufacturing workspace. By engaging directly with real-world machining scenarios, students gain valuable experience in tool selection, workholding strategies, and post-processing for 5-axis equipment. These exercises emphasize the practical application of CAM principles in a modern, high-precision manufacturing environment.
